, NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 10 â€" Police have warned of slow moving traffic in Nairobi on Friday on account of flooded roads.

According to Nairobi Traffic Commandant Peter Ndungu, most roads are flooded following ongoing heavy rains making them impassable.

He told Capital FM News that this has slowed down traffic flow on Uhuru Highway, sections of Thika Road, Waiyaki Way, Jogoo Road, Bunyala roundabout among other routes.

“There is a lot of water on the roads this morning and this is resulting in slow movement of vehicles and traffic jams in most major roads,” he stated.

He urged motorists to be patient as the metrological department said the rains will conti nue to be experienced in the next few weeks in most parts of the country.

He has also encouraged them to drive carefully to avoid accidents.
