Did the team behind the Nairobi regeneration project bite more than it coul d chew by setting ambitious targets?
During a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House on April 13, the lot swore to either deliver or resign.
Among the promises to Uhuru, and Nairobi residents by extension, was to enhance service delivery and revamp the city in 30 days.
The members were to launch a mortgage refinancing company and clear garbage in the 85 wards in this period.
The team includes national and county leaders and is co-chaired by Governor Mike Sonko and Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala.

Members are required to deliver their report to the President on Tuesday so the question is whether they will resign or give excuses for failure to deliver.
In Nairobi county for instance, there have been complaints that the Governor is doing very little to clean the city, clear garbage and provide other basic services.
Matters were worsene d by the rains that began late in February, resulting in deaths and destruction.
A number of access roads have been cut off in various areas and that the state of roads has contributed to the damage of vehicles.
Some Nairobians have asked Sonko to "step up his game".
One Muniro said: "Mr President, with all the due respect and as far as tennis is good, we have pressing issue of floods in Nairobi. Is Sonko aware that we are swimming and not walking around in South C and Nairobi West areas?"
Another Twitter user asked about the whereabouts of the Governor's "powerful" rescue team to help him fulfill his campaign promises.
"We have to blame Sonko for [lack of] immediate remedies to floods and other issues affecting the city. However, Nairobi has had systematic planning failure for many years. Sonko [cannot solve these] right away," Nyagwara said.
Steve Keyboy termed himself a "suffering Nairobi an".
"Like everyone else, traffic is killing me. The floods. The filth. The hawkers, boda bodasv ... I recognise the rot."
The Governor once apologised to Kenyans about flooding and promised that drainage would be unclogged.

The regeneration team also pledged the automation of bus termini systems, the launch of the Thika Road Bus Rapid Transport System and set up of the Nairobi traffic management committee in a month.
Since these systems are not yet in place, will they resign?
